REGIONAL AIR ACCESS PROGRAM (PAAR)
Flights starting at 250$
The government’s Regional Air Access Program (PAAR) aims to enable Quebec residents to travel by air at an affordable price.
Regional air transportation is costly due to low demand and long distances to cover, and for several years, the price of tickets on regional air routes has been relatively high. Government intervention is therefore necessary to reduce the cost of air travel.
Component 1: Reimbursement of airfares for residents of remote areas
This program aims to encourage air travel for residents of remote and isolated areas of Quebec.
Volet 2 : Offre de billets d’avion à prix maximal déterminé
The government aims to make airline tickets affordable for the routes covered by the program.
